Assam celebrates festivals of various religions and various tribes. It holds colourful festivals of all tribes with great gusto and enthusiasm. The major festival that Assam celebrates is Bihu in three forms - Bohag Bihu or Rongali Bihu in April, Magh Bihu or Bhogali Bihu in January and Kati Bihu or Kongali Bihu in October/ November.
