Prophet Mohammad was the founder of the Islam and is considered as a messenger and prophet of Allah by Muslims. Muslims believe him to be the last prophet in the series of Islamic prophets. Prophet Mohammad was the restorer of an unspoiled monotheistic faith of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Adam and other prophets.
The great spiritualist was born in 570 in the Arabian city of Mecca but was soon orphaned and brought up under the care of his uncle. After being working as a merchant and shepherd got married by age 25.
Leading normal life of a married man discontented him and he later devoted his life to meditation in search of the Almighty. He finally received his first revelation from the supreme at the age of 40, in the month of Ramadan. Soon after this, he started preaching about his unique experience publicly, declaring that God is one and the supreme power.
Impressed by the teachings of Mohammad, many people started following him and his preaching and he became quite successful in spreading the message of Islam among masses but few Meccan tribes disliked this spread of Islamic spiritualism.
This all lead to resentment of Mohammad and his followers by those tribes. Prophet Mohammad in order to prevent his followers sent them to Abyssinia and later himself migrated to Medina along with other remaining followers.
Mohammad Prophet continued to spread his monotheistic faith in medina also and after the hard struggle of eight years succeeded in conquering Mecca. He tried to spread the message of harmony and unity everywhere and preached the message of single Muslim religion called Islam.
Mohammad Prophet finally departed from his soul in 632 due to severe illness. By the time of his death, he united the tribes of Arabia into a single Muslim religion.
