Awareness about global warming and the adversities of it is raised. Plantation is done majorly on bare land. Paper bags made of newspaper and waste paper are distributed in local markets with a message of avoiding polythene bags and encourage recycling.
This would prevent harms of polythene and plastic usage. Skits related to environment are also staged. Schools also celebrate the occasion. The participation of children adds momentum to the cause to save the earth and to spread greenery. Cultural programs are organized to mark the day.
