Anniversary of International Year of Family

International Day of the Families is celebrated on 15 May on the global platform. It is celebrated every year to create awareness about the importance of families among people in modern times. These days, people are switching more towards solitary and independent mode of lifestyle and are rather moving away from the beautiful institution of society called “Family".

International Day of Families!

Various programs are organized all over the world to commemorate the day by planning different workshops, seminars, and policy meetings for public officials and exhibitions. All programs are supported by the United Nations - Division for Social Policy and Development. Different campaigns are also launched on International Day of Families to fortify and support family units.

May 15 has been celebrated as International Day of the Families since 1995. The year 1994 was declared as the International year of Families by the United Nations.
