Reaching the abode of Baba Shyam is easy, whether you are coming from Delhi, Jaipur, or beyond. The town is well-connected, especially during the Mela.

1. By Train

The nearest railway station is Ringas Junction (RGS), which is just 17 km from the temple.

  • From Delhi:

    • Best Train: Chetak Express (20473) or Sainik Express (19702) from Delhi Sarai Rohilla/Cantt.

    • Time: Approx. 4-5 hours.

  • From Jaipur:

    • There are frequent local trains and express trains connecting Jaipur to Ringas (approx. 1 hour).

  • From Ringas to Temple:

    • Taxi/Jeep: Available outside the station (₹50–₹100 per seat in shared jeeps).

    • The Devotee's Choice: Many pilgrims prefer to walk this 17 km stretch carrying the Nishan (flag) as a mark of devotion.

2. By Air

  • Nearest Airport: Jaipur International Airport (JAI) (approx. 80–90 km away).

  • Connecting: From the airport, you can hire a private taxi directly to Khatu (approx. ₹2,000–₹3,000) or take a bus from the Sindhi Camp bus stand.

3. By Road

The roads to Khatu are excellent, and the drive is scenic.

    • Drive: Take the Jaipur-Sikar Highway (NH 52). It takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.

  • From Delhi (300 km):

    • Drive Time: Approx. 5–6 hours.

    • Bus: Direct buses from Kashmere Gate ISBT or Dhaula Kuan are available to Ringas or Sikar.

Pro Tips for the Fair

  • Road Closures: During the main Mela days (Phalgun Ekadashi), private vehicles are often stopped at check-posts 4-5 km before the temple. Be prepared to walk or take the free shuttle buses provided by the temple committee.

  • Footwear: If you plan to walk from Ringas, wear comfortable walking shoes (or go barefoot if you wish to follow tradition).

  • Tickets: Book train tickets at least 2 months in advance as they get sold out instantly for the Mela dates.
